Caleb J. Tingstad

Caleb is a lawyer with Beresford Booth’s Business & Banking Law, Real Estate Law, and Litigation groups where he regularly advises clients in high-stakes, bet-the-company litigation. His practice includes advising controlling and non-controlling owners, boards of directors, and companies through complex litigation matters, including derivative actions, disputed M&A and real estate transactions, shareholder oppression cases, and other “business divorce” disputes between business owners. 

Beyond the courtroom, Caleb leverages his litigation experience to advise businesses and their owners during transactions of all types and sizes. His dual perspective allows clients to complete commercial transactions with confidence because the advice comes from Caleb’s experience litigating the issues he advises clients to avoid.

Caleb’s clients are located across Washington and the Pacific Northwest and include a collection of individuals, families, medical and financial professionals, boards of directors, closely held companies, financial institutions, and non-profits. In addition to servicing his clients, Caleb has been entrusted by the Court to preside as a Special Master in contentious discovery disputes.

Caleb serves as a member of the Washington State Bar Association’s Partnership Law Committee, which regularly advises the Washington legislature on necessary changes to Limited Liability Company Act, Revised Uniform Partnership Act, and Revised Uniform Limited Partnership Act. With this service and his litigation experience, Caleb regularly presents to business owners and professionals on a range of legal topics and contributes frequently to Washington’s Business Law Blog.
