Trevor H. Lane

Trevor is a member of Beresford Booth’s litigation team.  Centering his practice on construction litigation, Trevor represents owners, general contractors, and subcontractors in both the private and public building industry.  He brings experience in handling and resolving disputes, including arbitrations, mediations and government bid protests.  Trevor is also experienced resolving disputes between private business partners and litigating TEDRA actions.

Additionally, Trevor draws on his skills in interpreting and drafting construction contracts, government contracts and various agreements used in construction and other commercial matters.  Trevor’s background in litigating contracts heightens his ability to spot problematic language and take corrective action to prevent disputes from arising.  He looks forward to continuing to provide insightful counsel to clients on the front end of matters so he can help avoid problems down the road.

Before starting a career in law, Trevor taught middle school students in Seattle Public School, where he became practiced at capturing and maintaining a group’s attention.  He now applies these techniques in the courtroom, weaving engaging narratives that relay information in a truthful and persuasive way.  With outstanding writing skills, Trevor crafts clear documents that support his clients’ position explicitly.

Prior to joining Beresford Booth, Trevor developed his litigation skills as a judicial extern with the Honorable Theresa L. Fricke in the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington; as a finalist in the Seattle University 2018 James E. Bond ABA Moot Court Competition; as an extern with the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office; and as associate counsel for the nation’s top law firms focused on construction law and government contracts.

In his spare time, Trevor collects vinyl records, explores the Cascade Mountains and Puget Sound with his partner, and plays golf with his friends.  He loves to cook, particularly American Southern food and Italian and other Mediterranean cuisines.
