Matt is an associate and serves the Business, Mergers & Acquisitions Team, the Litigation Team and the Real Estate Team.  Matt brings a fresh perspective, a dedicated work ethic, a passion for oral advocacy and highly skilled legal drafting and research to the firm.

Matt served as a law clerk at Beresford Booth while attending Willamette University School of Law.  He has considerable experience in litigation, from initial case assessment and legal research to drafting pleadings, dispositive motions, mediation, discovery, declarations, settlement demands and appellate briefings.   

Demonstrating sound judgment beyond his years, Matt delivers positive outcomes. He is a detail-oriented critical thinker that carefully works through challenges his clients face to find successful results. He listens carefully to what his clients want to accomplish, not just the legal issue in isolation. He cares deeply about his clients and is passionate about his work, bringing thorough strategy to his cases.

Matt has a passion for working through difficult business and real estate disputes and developing strategies that account for legal merits, litigation costs, business realities and his client’s long-term goals. He presents clear options, risks and potential outcomes, giving his clients the clearest picture from the beginning so they can work together to determine the best course of action forward.

Beyond the office, Matt is an avid golfer and sports enthusiast. He loves attending all types of sporting events, playing basketball, going to the movie theater, playing board games and spending time with family and friends.
