Community Spotlight: Homage

In these uncertain times, good news is hard to find.  As such, it is vital to highlight the amazing community organizations working diligently in response to the coronavirus epidemic.  One shining example in our community is Homage Senior Services.

Homage is the largest provider of services for older adults and people with disabilities in Snohomish County.  They reach more than 25,000 individuals through their various programs in food and nutrition, health and wellness, home repair, social services, and transportation.

Homage has many terrific programs, but one program in particular has been vital to Homage’s efforts to assist the community in light of the current public health crisis: the local “meals on wheels” program.  Homage often delivers more than 5,000 meals per week to families throughout Snohomish County.  Q13 Fox recently ran a story highlighting Homage’s “meals on wheels” program and the effects it has on the greater Snohomish County community.  That story can be found here.  The program is also highlighted in a King 5 story, which can be found here.

Beresford Booth prides itself in its support of and involvement with the influential organizations in our community.  Homage is one such organization.   Beresford Booth proudly supports Homage financially and organizationally as David Tingstad sits on Homage’s Board of Directors.  Homage’s work represents the resiliency of our communities in the face of this crisis, and we are proud to stand and support Homage.
