Community Spotlight –Attorney Michael Kvistad Shares Legal Profession Insights to High School Business Students
Michael Kvistad, a business lawyer with Beresford Booth’s Business Mergers and Acquisitions Group, recently partnered with Cedar Park Christian School (Lynnwood Campus) to offer students a behind-the-scenes look at the legal side of business. He spoke with the Principles of Business Management class, taught by Signe Whaling. This is a course designed to prepare students for real-world career success.
Michael discussed what it’s like to work as a business attorney, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions—from navigating complex negotiations to protecting client interests. The students were engaged, thoughtful, and asked insightful questions about the legal side of entrepreneurship and corporate growth. It’s always energizing to see young people take an interest in the legal profession and the mechanics of business.
It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with bright, curious minds and share a glimpse into the practice of business law. We are grateful to Cedar Park Christian School for the invitation and look forward to more opportunities to support and inspire future leaders in our community.
